BMW 3 Series Trim Levels
Some vehicles are born with an unmistakable bout of confidence. By all measures, the BMW 3 Series fits that bill as it cruises through Meridian, Philadelphia, and Laurel, MS. This exciting sedan is a testament to BMW’s decades-long commitment to leisure and performance. Therefore, the BMW of Meridian team wants you to match with the one that suits your personality.
We’ve compiled information separating the BMW 3 Series trim levels. Let’s start!
BMW 330i
Make no mistake, the base trim is as slick as they come. The 330i is neatly organized to provide plenty of power, space, and entertainment. With the turn of the key, the standard 2.0-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo inline 4-cylinder engine offers ample room for seamless acceleration thanks to its 255 horsepower. Plus, with 294 lb-ft of torque, you have an engine built for the open road.
This sedan offers more than performance, however. It’s also got plenty of style with its modern kidney grille and sleek silhouette. Be prepared to receive some jaw-dropping stares as you zoom past.
Inside, this 5-seater provides space for you, your passengers, and your things. Drivers will love the 38.7 inches of front headroom, while those in the back will enjoy 35.2 inches of rear legroom. Further interior highlights include a standard 2-way power glass moonroof to accompany you on the sunniest of days and the clearest of nights. Plus, if those sunny days get a bit warm, the 330i’s standard Multi-zone Climate Control system helps circulate air no matter where you are seated.
As for connectivity, everyone will love the standard 8.8-inch touchscreen display for easy infotainment access. Speaking of infotainment, did you know that the BMW 3 Series offers multiple ways to interact with its operating system, iDrive 7.0? That’s right! Use simple voice commands or the iDrive touchpad Controller to change audio settings or access navigation features.
BMW M340i
Like the 330i, the M340i boasts an impressive package out of the gate, and it’s all powered by one high-performing engine. It’s a 3.0-liter BMW M TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder engine, which rises to the occasion with 382 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque. Plus, M Sport handling provides an extra bit of thoughtful engineering around each corner.
While on the topic of handling, we should also mention this trim’s standard M Sport Brakes for refined stopping power and superb fade resistance. With bold blue calipers, they add a sporty touch, too. Oh, and we can’t forget about the M340i’s dual exhaust system, complete with stunning free-form Cerium Grey tailpipes.
Moving into the cabin, you’ll soon notice that the M340i has received a nice technological upgrade, particularly when it comes to its infotainment possibilities. This trim boasts a standard 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 10.25-inch central information display. To take your entertainment one step further, upgrade to the available Harman Kardon® surround sound system.
The steering wheel features the same leather-wrapped upholstery as the 330i, however, this time it gets the added athletic looks of the M sport design.
BMW 330e
While the 330i and M340i are fueled by gasoline, the 330e is a plug-in hybrid. This plug-in hybrid features a robust combustion engine that works alongside an electric motor for incredibly efficient driving.
How efficient are we talking? How about an EPA-estimated all-electric range of 22 miles?* Well, thanks to the 330e’s standard 2.0-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo inline 4-cylinder engine and integrated electric motor, that’s what you get! When it is time to charge, BMW offers several convenient charging options:
Power Outlets: Every BMW 330e comes with an Occasional Use Charging Cable, which connects to any standard power outlet. BMW Wallbox: For speedy at-home charging, install the available BMW Wallbox. It’s ideal for daily driving, such as your weekday commute. Level 2 Charging: BMW gives customers access to over 35,000 Level 2 chargers nationwide. Simply use the BMW Charging app to find the nearest charging location.
As you’re driving, the innovative hybrid-specific instrument cluster will provide you with all the pertinent information needed, like charge status, no matter how short or long of a trip you’re on.
Even better are the available upgrades for the 330e. For example, there’s the stylish available M Sport package, which includes an Aerodynamic Kit and exclusive wheel and trim selections.
BMW M3
At the top of the list lies the BMW M3. If you’re looking for maximum power, you’ve found it with the M3.
We’re talking about a 3.0-liter BMW M TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder engine with 503 horsepower that can accelerate from 0 to 60 MPH in just 3.4 seconds. If that’s not enough, the M3 Competition xDrive Sedan and its included M xDrive all-wheel-drive system features adjustable 4WD, 4WD Sport, and 2WD modes for complete control.
Added performance was also given to this sedan’s exterior design. At the front of the vehicle, a frameless, vertical kidney grill and sculpted hood take center stage. In the back, a specially designed bumper and included integrated diffuser, L-shaped LED taillights, and streamlined spoiler cap things off.
This sporty approach continues inside, where optional M Carbon Bucket Seats with full electric adjustment merge style and functionality for a comfortable driving experience.
Here’s another benefit of the BMW M3: safety. There are plenty of standard safety systems included with the M3, such as Active Blind Spot Detection, Lane Departure Warning, and Active Lane Keeping Assistant.
