Performance
The BMW X2 comes equipped with a 2.0-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo inline 4-cylinder engine that can produce up to 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. It’s paired to an 8-speed STEPTRONIC automatic transmission that features both Sport and Manual shift modes. The engine also has its own driving modes through the Driving Dynamics Control. There, you can select from ECO PRO, COMFORT, and SPORT modes to best suit your style. This BMW model will come with standard front-wheel drive (FWD). There is also the available xDrive all-wheel drive (AWD) system if you prefer that configuration. The following EPA-estimated fuel economies can be found: FWD: 24 city/32 highway MPG1, AWD: 24 city/31 highway MPG1. Trim Levels
There are a few trim levels of the BMW X2 to choose from: sDrive28i, xDrive28i, M35i. The xDrive level refers to the all-wheel drive system of the same name, while the sDrive level sticks with the standard front-wheel drive configuration. They both sport the same standard engine. The M35i, however, features a different engine. It will still be a 4-cylinder paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission, but this time the engine delivers up to 301 horsepower and 331 lb-ft of torque. It also comes standard with the xDrive all-wheel drive system and rocks its own unique M Sport suspension to maneuver the vehicle with ease.
