The Meridian Little Theatre Today

The mission of the Meridian Little Theatre is the same as it was when it opened its doors in the early 1930’s: to create and provide a diverse community theatre that enriches, educates, and entertains the people. However, this theatre has also continued to keep up with the times.

The theatre is housed in a specially designed modern playhouse that gives people what they want. There is impressive seating for 400 and it boasts the latest technologies in both light and sound.

What You’ll See at the Meridian Little Theatre

Each year, the theatre performs four major productions for which the Meridian community eagerly awaits. Popular titles in the past have included time-honored classics like:

• Little Shop of Horrors
• My Fair Lady
• The Music Man
• The Odd Couple
• Anything Goes
• Footloose
• Bye Bye Birdie

The list seems truly endless and continues to grow each year, bringing in big titles and favorite productions. The Meridian Little Theatre doesn’t stop there, however.

It also hosts youth productions, dinner theatre, a children’s workshop every summer, and much more. In total, it amounts to over 50 performances annually. There’s always something going on at the Meridian Little Theatre, including a plethora of must-see shows right in your backyard.

Seasonal Memberships

If you don’t want to miss a beat, the Meridian Little Theatre also offers a seasonal membership that not only lets you see the greatest productions in the area for less, but also helps the mission of the theatre live on.

Members can save on individual tickets and “First Nighters” tickets. Want to help even more?

The Ladies Guild—a proud partner of the theatre—has opened a booth at the Highway 45 Flea Market to raise money for the Meridian Little Theatre. You can find an array of goods available to purchase here.

You can also become a member of the Ladies Guild, a non-profit organization that has been actively supporting the theatre since 1967. They volunteer, host fundraisers, and much more to keep this Meridian staple alive.
