BMW 2 Series Trim Levels

Two trim levels can be found for the BMW 2 Series that contain different levels of power. The 230i and M240i xDrive give you varying performance that caters to the drive you’re hoping to achieve. Take a closer look, and you’ll quickly understand which one matches your requirements.

BMW 2 Series Performance

For the 230i trim, a 2.0-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo inline 4-cylinder engine appears under the hood and generates 255 horsepower with 294 lb-ft of torque. This trim comes with rear-wheel drive. As for gas mileage, this trim can achieve an EPA-estimated 26 city and 35 highway MPG.* You’ll be pleased with how long you can stay on the road before having to stop and refuel.

A 3.0-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder engine powers the M240i xDrive trim. It generates 382 horsepower with 369 lb-ft of torque to give you a racing start. The xDrive refers to the BMW signature all-wheel drive system, so you’re given additional grip to travel on uneven or slick surfaces. Favorable gas mileage comes with this trim as well. It achieves an EPA-estimated 23 city and 32 highway MPG for satisfying trips.*

Both trims enable you to customize your drive through the 8-speed Sport Automatic transmission. With this transmission, you’ll have two shift modes: Sport and Manual. Increasing customization, the Driving Dynamics Control offers four distinct modes: ECO PRO, COMFORT, SPORT, and SPORT+.

BMW 2 Series Interior

Peek inside the BMW 2 Series and you shall see standard sport seats furnished in SensaTec upholstery, which is a synthetic leather. If you prefer real leather, consider upgrading to available Vernasca leather in a variety of shades. Other available upgrades for your cabin include heated front seats with a matching heated steering wheel. A 2-panel power moonroof is also optional. If it’s too steamy to open the moonroof, the standard Multi-zone Climate Control system can be adjusted to the preferences of those in the front row.

Now, here’s a quick peek at the cabin dimensions in either trim:

Both trims feature an electric interior trunk release to open your trunk. To use the Comfort Access keyless entry system, opt for the M240i xDrive.
